This week the British American Football Association announced the launch of a regional U19 league which will undertake the 11v11 format.
Five teams will participate in the league which will span approximately one month across October and November 2024, they are:
Team Scotland
Team North
Team Midlands
Team South
SGS Pride Bristol

Team Scotland is already established following the pilot that started in early 2022 where they have since competed against Team North, SGS Pride Bristol and GB Lions U19. Of course, SGS Pride Bristol has been established for some time. According to BAFA's announcement, there is already a Team Midlands underway and BAFA has advertised for the development of a Team North and Team South.
Currently, U19s in Britball can only play 11v11 at an International level with top-tier domestic leagues only being 9v9 so this will fill a much-needed development gap in the world of U19 Britball.
