The British American Football Association (BAFA) has announced the return of it's Under 19 Regional Series for its third season, and we see the formation and formalising of two Regional Conferences as well as the introduction of a sixth Regional side.
The Northern Regional Conference (NRC), consisting of Scotland, North, and Midlands, and the Southern Regional Conference (SRC), consisting of SGS Pride U18, South East (formerly South) & the newly formed South West will compete this Autumn as part of the National Programme’s newly formed scouting initiative, giving the opportunity for U19 players to compete in domestic 11v11 games and camps.
Regional Series Head Coaches for 2026
As part of the announcement, BAFA have named the Head Coaches for each team -
BAFA Regional U19 Scotland – Bryce Stevenson
BAFA Regional U19 North – Kevin O’Reagan
BAFA Regional U19 Midlands – Dean Malpass
BAFA Regional U19 South East – Aaron Alexis
BAFA Regional U19 South West – Steve Rains
SGS Pride U18 – Benjamin Herod
Regional Series 2026 Dates
We also have the key dates for your diaries (camp weekends & game days), which have been designated to allow maximum coverage for scouting opportunities for national programme coaches.
Camp weekends are:
30/08/26
05/09/26
12/09/26
19/09/26
26/09/26
Gamedays are:
03/10/26
10/10/26
24/10/26
31/10/26
Although the fixtures are yet to be finalised, the competition will take an inter-conference round robin type format with each team playing a minimum of one home and one away fixture. We've been told fixtures will be finalised in due course; however, the designated game weekends will avoid any conflict with the National Programme.
This series has seen some amazing games over the last two summers, and we look forward to seeing what the 3rd iteration brings. We've listed below the FAQ's BAFA has provided us with and will keep you updated as we learn about camps, eligibility, fixtures, and hopefully....live streams!
